I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Former twice world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
